Your questions, our answers!

What else do I get with a Secure Cyber Service reseller plan?

Your reseller plan includes the following extras:
Free Secure Cyber Service software including email marketing to use for your business.

Who determines the pricing on my reseller storefront?
You do. You can set the pricing for products and services individually, offer special sales and promotions, even provide certain customers with discount pricing. We also have a global pricing option that lets you quickly set the pricing for all of your products at once.

What's your commission payment process?
We offer a wide variety of payout options for your commissions (PayPal, EFT, Check). We usually pay the commission you earn during one month at the end of the following month. For example, if you earned commission on your reseller hosting sales during January, we'll pay you at the end of February.

What does it mean to be a white-label reseller?
When you sell white-label products or services, the name of the company that produces those services is replaced with your company name. So whether you want to be a white label email reseller or a white label hosting reseller or both, the only name your customers will ever see is yours.

Can I customize my storefront?
Yes. You can use our Storefront Branding to make your storefront reflect your personal brand. We give you control over your site's domain name, site logo, color scheme, page layout and more. You can always go back and make changes as your business grows. Or, for those resellers that are familiar with WordPress, we encourage you to make a fully customized site using our WordPress plugin.

Who will provide customer service to my customers?
We have a dedicated team that can support your customers 24/7 by phone or email. Our award-winning team can represent your brand and take your customer service to the next level. They can also sell products on your behalf.

What if I need help?
We're here to help 24/7. Our award-winning support team can help you get up and going, address any technical concerns, even provide tips and tricks on how to become a reseller. It's all included free with your plan.

The end of Flash means the end of Website Builder v6

Website Builder v6 is built on Flash, and Adobe is retiring Flash on December 31, 2020. A number of browsers are also ending their support for it. Once that happens some features will stop working. Flash's retirement will not affect customers on Website Builder v7.

What you need to know:

We'll be automatically provisioning the latest version of Website Builder for your customers.

The exact new plan will depend on the customer's current plan.

Customers can use our transition tool to move their content to their new sites.

We'll encourage your customers to finish the move to the new version by December 31, 2020

Website Builder v6 will retire in February 2021, at which point their old sites will cease to function.

Some Private Label customers will fall into special case groups and we'll communicate with affected  owners separately.

Customers will receive different communications depending on their plan and site publishing status:

Customers with unpublished sites will receive new plans by January 06, 2021.

Customers with published sites will receive communications asking them to take an action that will add the new version of Website Builder to their accounts. They'll also be taken through an onboarding transition tool that will move their content and pages to the new site – and don't worry about SEO, we follow best practices to redirect your old pages to your new site.

They will still need to take action to publish their new sites.

Search Engine Visibility FAQ

How does Search Engine Visibility help me optimize my site? 👀

Search Engine Visibility is an Internet-based search engine optimization and submission tool that guides users to optimize their website. Search Engine Visibility shows users how to improve internal and external aspects of their website. Doing this increases the visibility of the website in search engines via the "natural," or unpaid, search results.
Search engines rely on proprietary ranking algorithms and use that technology to look for various elements of the Web page, their organization, page content and how popular the Web page is. The absence of certain attributes, or the over-prevalence of other attributes, can seriously impact your ranking success. Search Engine Visibility shows you which site elements are particularly important to the various engines and helps you position your website for those engines' ranking criteria.
Search Engine Visibility V1 helps you analyze, optimize, and submit your Web pages to key Internet search engines and directories.

Will my website be ranked high in search engines if I use Search Engine Visibility?

Search Engine Visibility does not guarantee search engine listings or higher rankings. Search Engine Visibility also cannot provide any exact timeline for the fruition of your search engine optimization efforts.
Because competition can be fierce, and search engines use proprietary ranking algorithms, there is no guarantee that your URL will attain a high rank with a particular search engine. The ultimate decision lies entirely with the search engine.

Changes are coming to Private Registration

As regulations around privacy and data protection evolve, we are making changes to the way personal information is handled in the WHOIS database. The WHOIS, as a default, will now redact the personal contact information of the domain registrant (except for Country, State and Organization, if provided). Here's what it will mean:

We'll soon stop offering Private Registration as a standalone product and will upgrade Private Registration to a new product called Full Domain Privacy & Protection at no additional charge. It will include these features:
  • Protects against active threats like domain hijackers and malicious transfers.
  • Safeguards from honest mistakes like accidental transfer or expired credit cards.*
  • Prevents spam with private email forwarding.
  • Prevents data from being accessed by 3rd parties, reducing customers’ data footprint and risk of exposure.
We are also upgrading Protected Registration to Ultimate Domain Protection & Security for some customers. This product includes all the features of Full Domain Privacy & Protection, plus Website Security Basic, which provides automatic malware scans and continuous security monitoring.

Within the next two weeks, customers will receive the first of two emails that provide them with the information listed above as well as a list of their domains that will be affected. Customers will not have to take any action at all from this first email, we will take care of the upgrade for them. If they choose to opt out of the upgrade, a refund will be issued to them for the remaining term of their current product(s).

Following the upgrade, customers will receive a second email confirming that their affected domains have been upgraded to Full Domain Privacy & Protection, or Ultimate Domain Protection & Security, at no additional charge. They will also be given the option to opt-out of the upgrade.

*The expiration protection feature requires that your domains be set to automatically renew.

Different Bounce Types

A question often asked is the way we define the different bounce types in our Email Marketing app.

A Bounce means an email was not successfully delivered to the contact. The specific reasons behind the undeliverable address depend on the bounce type: Hard, Soft, General, or Still Trying. We'll explain each type here:
Click the more stats button

Hard Bounce:

These are email addresses that are totally unknown, obsolete, or incorrect. These will never be delivered to the recipient. These contacts are immediately suppressed, when they encounter a hard bounce. Most often these are old and expired addresses (If you spot obvious typos like example@example.con (instead of .com), you can unsuppress the contact and update the email.)

Soft Bounce:

These are email accounts that often have full mailboxes, their domain is temporarily down, or they’re currently not able to receive email. Email Marketing will send up to 4 future mailings to these mailboxes, and if those bounce, the contacts are suppressed from your active subscribers.

General Bounce:

The most common form of General Bounce happens when a firewall exists on the server of the recipient and prevents them from receiving email from outside their network. This is common in the case of corporations that do not receive email from unknown sources. Email Marketing retries all General Bounces until it's certain they won’t get through, at which time the contact is suppressed from your active subscribers.

Still Trying:

These indicate that a particular message could not yet be delivered, but that the server is still trying. This bounce type is usually resolved when retrying.
